Help pets in need of vets today - by recycling stamps for PDSA!

Leading veterinary charity, PDSA, is appealing for members of the public to help pets in need of vets by recycling their used postage stamps. Every ton of stamps recycled by PDSA supporters will raise £1,500 - money that could be used to buy a heated operating table at one of the 47* PetAid hospitals.

Supporters are asked to donate all types of stamps; first class, second class, foreign and special collections for recycling. They should be sent to: PDSA Stamp Appeal, P.O. Box 9191, Wishaw, Lanarkshire, ML2 0YB. Once received, the stamps are sorted, weighed and then recycled, helping to raise much-needed funds for the charity to provide free veterinary treatment for the sick and injured pets of people in need.

Lynn Crawford, PDSA Area Fundraising Manager, says: “Recycling your used stamps is an easy way for you to do a good deed and support PDSA.

“Everyone uses stamps regularly – making it easy for companies, schools and offices to collect hundreds on a daily basis. So, why not save them all up and send them to the PDSA Stamp Appeal. You be will helping PDSA continue its vital work treating sick and injured pets across the UK.”

PDSA treats more than 4,650 sick and injured pets every working day. This year PDSA PetAid services will cost more than £38 million and are funded entirely by public support.
