Gift Aid

Make your gift worth even more to us, without paying a penny extra.

Do you pay UK tax, even if it’s just on your pension or a part-time job?

If so, then whenever you make a donation to PDSA, we can claim back some of the tax you’ve already paid.

This scheme is called Gift Aid, and it helps charities claim tax from HM Revenue & Customs on donations you have made.

What’s more, it means you can be sure some of the tax you pay is going to help sick and injured pets – a cause you really believe in.

Please help us claim Gift Aid on your donations.

How does it work?

  • For each £1 you give PDSA, we can claim back an extra 28p in tax.
  • It doesn’t cost you anything – all you have to do is fill in a short, simple form giving us permission to reclaim this tax.
  • We can even claim for all the gifts you’ve made in the past six years.
  • Even if you don’t pay tax but your partner does, you can still help us benefit from Gift Aid – but you’ll need to make your donation from your partner’s account and ask them to fill out the form.

How much more could my gift be worth with Gift Aid?

  • If you’re a PDSA Best Friend and give £5 a month, we’ll actually get £6.60 a month – adding up to a very important £79.20 extra each year.
  • If you make a special donation or gifts adding up to £100, we can claim another £28 in tax, which will make a significant contribution towards buying a metal plate to repair a dog’s broken leg.
