Donations

As well as one off or regular cash donations, staff can support PDSA by donating items to be resold in our stores. PDSA can arrange the installation of special collection points in your workplace and will pick up the donations on a regular basis.

Payroll giving and matched giving

This simple and tax-efficient way of donating through an employee’s salary can be a demonstration of your company’s commitment to good causes and enables individuals to give to the charity of their choice.

Setting up payroll giving is easy, with Government-approved payroll giving agencies providing all the forms and handling all the administration. Fundraising

There are many ways staff can get involved, from a one-off event by an individual to large-scale team based fundraising activities. Staff can even choose to take on one of PDSA’s ‘challenges’, such as running in the London Marathon, walking the Great Wall of China, taking part in the London to Paris cycle ride or even skydiving. Companies find that fundraising on behalf of PDSA improves staff morale, helps nurture a team ethic and provides many positive PR opportunities.

Staff engagement and volunteering

Volunteering with PDSA doesn’t just benefit us, it can benefit your staff as individuals and your organisation as a whole. Whether the volunteering is done in their own or company time, it can help individuals learn new skills and develop existing ones, as well as increase confidence and provide a sense of achievement. PDSA volunteers save the charity a massive £11.2 million every year in employment costs by donating their time for free and we want to increase our volunteering opportunities to grow this area. Employer supported volunteering demonstrates a company’s commitment to playing a part in their local community.
