PDSA's 2012 Running Team

At this year's London Marathon a team of vets, staff and supporters have all volunteered to run in aid of PDSA, to help raise vital funds for us.

Our team has been training tirelessly in preparation for the big event. Our fundraising target is £300,000 but we need your help to achieve this.

We're asking if you can make these hours of training worth it by sponsoring each mile that our team runs. Watch Ian, one of our vets, as he trains for the marathon.

Can you spare 50p, £1 or even £2 a mile to help us achieve our Marathon Appeal target?

This is one of our biggest fundraising events of the year. The funds raised will go towards the treament of the hundreds of thousands of the sick and injured pets who need our help each year.

Pets like Max, the six-year-old Labrador who was critically injured in a road accident. PDSA gave him life-saving surgery which sadly involved having to amputate his leg, but he's made an amazing recovery and today Max is coping really well.

Max is just one of thousands of poorly pets we treat, which is why we urgently ask you to sponsor us or make a donation through JustGiving.

The more you give per mile, the more pets PDSA can help

£2 a mile is £52 and could help pay for an anaesthetic.

£1 a mile is £26 and could help pay for an x-ray.

50p a mile is £13 and could help pay for a dressing to a pet’s wound after an operation.
