Help us raise £630,000 to treat sick and injured pets this Christmas
Christmas is a time that most people look forward to, but for the vets and nurses at PDSA it’s a worrying time. The cold winter weather is particularly harsh on pets and patient numbers are increasing, so it’s vial we make sure we are ready to deal with the extra demand on our services now.
There’s something we want more than anything else for Christmas- to be there for all of the seriously sick and injured pets that need us and are eligible for our house.
Help us treat pets like Jake this Christmas
Jake, an affectionate 12 year old Labrador was rushed to his local PDSA PetAid hospital by his worried owner after displaying worrying symptoms. The PDSA vets quickly diagnosed internal bleeding- Jake needed an urgent operation. Unfortunately, he was too anaemic. The PDSA vets faced a real life and death dilemma.
Luckily, Bella, a healthy 4 year old Alsatian belonging to Anne, the PDSA receptionist came to Jake’s rescue. Bella gave Jake the ultimate gift- the half a pint of blood that enabled Jake to get strong enough to have the operation and remove the luckily benign tumour that had made Jake so ill. It really was a life saving gift.
Will you give £15 this Christmas...it could be the gift of life to another pet like Jake.
