Donate your unwanted shares to PDSA
If you would like to donate your shares to help sick and injured animals it’s easy to do, just download and complete our shares form (PDF - 44 KB) and post it back to us.
It couldn’t be easier to help pets in need of vets!
All you need to do is send us your original share certificate(s) together with our quick and easy downloadable form (PDF - 44 KB)
You have no need to contact a stock broker or the registrars as our shares team will complete a Stock Transfer Form on your behalf and forward it to you to sign.
Once signed, all you have to do is return the Stock Transfer Form to us in the pre-paid envelope we provide – it’s as simple as that!
We will then sell the shares and use the money to help provide free veterinary care for the sick and injured pets of people in need.
What’s in it for me?
Donating shares is a very tax effective way to give money to PDSA.
Individuals can claim tax relief on the value of the donated shares and charitable gifts of shares are free from capital gains tax.

Mr and Mrs Reason from Swindon kindly donated their old Abbey National shares, worth over £1,000.
As a young girl Mrs Reason spent a lot of time with her grandparents' beautiful Old English Sheepdog called Peggy.
Her grandfather was a plasterer and when work was scarce in the winter months Peggy was treated by PDSA.
Mrs Reason has never forgotten Peggy and has continued to support us ever since.
