11 year old Dax suffers with Diabetes and needs your help.
Dax's notes
Dax is a eleven year old cross breed. Although a quiet dog by nature, he enjoyed long walks in the country, and being let off the lead to run around with his brother.
But after a visit to the local PDSA PetAid hospital in May 2007, he was diagnosed with diabetes and prescribed insulin injections twice a day to maintain his blood sugar levels.
He has regular visits to the PDSA PetAid hospital where he is very popular with staff who look forward to carrying out his monthly check up.
Dax's owner is also careful to give him just the right amount of exercise. Because while exercise is important, care is needed if your pet has diabetes, as the amount of exercise could affect the blood sugar levels.
Owner notes
"It came as such a shock to discover that Dax also had diabetes. I am so grateful to PDSA for giving my best friend a chance at having a happy life. I don't know what I'd do without PDSA's help."
