Please help sick and injured pets in need of emergency care
Teves's owner found him clinging to life in a pool of blood with a five-inch shard of glass in his neck just a fraction away from a major artery, after he had smashed a greenhouse window. He was taken to PDSA just in time to be able to save him.
Accidents like this occur every day; accidents that we cannot plan for but that need immediate attention. Thanks to your donations, PDSA is able to deal with these unexpected cases and continue to save the lives of pets on an ongoing basis.
He could have died
Teves is a playful dog, who likes nothing more than bounding around the garden; he smashed through one of the glass panes of a greenhouse belonging to his elderly owner Ray … and a five-inch shard of glass lodged itself in his neck.
Teves was bleeding profusely, but managed to drag himself back to the house. Fortunately, Ray realised there was no time to lose. He wrapped Teves in a towel and raced him to the nearest PDSA PetAid hospital.
Against all odds – this much-loved-pet pulled through. Thanks to his fast-thinking owner and our ability to respond to emergencies immediately, Teves has made a full recovery and is back on all four paws again.

We urgently need lifesavers like you to treat emergency cases like this.
Many more pets will be rushed in for emergency care this summer and our funds are tighter than ever, and we urgently need your help to ensure we can treat them all.
For a pet like Teves, whose life was hanging in the balance, your gift could be the only hope of survival.
