The race to save pets is on...
Please support PDSA vet Rob as he runs the Virgin London Marathon to raise urgently needed funds so that we can help treat the thousands of pets that rely on us.
In April this year I completed one of my life long ambitions of completing the Virgin London marathon. I have always run a few miles each week with my dog Puddle and each year used to watch the London marathon with envy. After enjoying running my first half marathon in Sheffield the previous year I knew it was the perfect time to continue training for full marathon. I was grateful to be given one of the PDSA gold bond places as the race is so oversubscribed each year. Training over the winter months was hard at times but it was all worthwhile as I had the best time on the day. The weather was great and the atmosphere was amazing. There were people cheering along the whole 26.2 miles of the race and everyone was so supportive. The feeling of completing the marathon was worth every second of discomfort during training. I enjoyed the day so much I am hoping to enter the race again next year!
PDSA Animal charity wants to thank everyone who donated and help support Rob at the Virgin London marathon. We are all looking forward to next year!
