Walkers on the charity London to Brighton Challenge

London to Brighton Challenge 12th – 13th May 2012

Most will choose to walk the 100km London to Brighton Challenge, perhaps some will jog parts of it, and a few hardened types may even attempt to run it. However you decide to take it on, it will be a definitive test of endurance, determination and teamwork.

London to Brighton is not just a challenge – it’s a journey – and one you’ll never forget. Beginning with a committed training regime; the anticipation and excitement of a 1,000 challengers at the start; ending after a long night on weary limbs with blurry eyes, the Brighton coastline coming into view; and celebrating an overwhelming sense of achievement. Whether your ambition is to complete the distance in 15 or 30 hours, the year for achieving personal goals and setting new records is 2012. The challenge is London to Brighton!

Walkies for PDSA a charity walking event

Walkies

Set your own date anytime in the year

Animal lovers across the UK are being urged to support us by organising their own sponsored Walkies.

It doesn’t matter how big or small your dog walk is – it could be just you and your family in the local park, or your friends and colleagues getting together for a day of fundraising.

’Walkies is the perfect opportunity to kick-start a new health regime and get fit with your four-legged friend. Plus, every penny raised will help PDSA treat sick and injured pets.

‘For those not used to regular walks, suddenly starting vigorous exercise can be dangerous for a pet’s health, so if owners are unsure how much exercise their pet needs, or are starting from scratch, they should consult their vet for advice.’ says PDSA Senior Veterinary Surgeon, Sean Wensley.

Everyone organising their own Walkies will receive a fundraising pack, including sponsorship forms and a Walkies T-shirt.

Minimum sponsorship for each walker: £20
