PDSA shoppers know a top quality bargain when they see one. And they know that a purchase from a PDSA retail charity outlet supports the UK's leading veterinary charity. This year we are looking to raise over £2 million in our shops to help the thousands of sick and injured animals our vets and nurses treat each working day.

How do I donate goods to my local shop?
The most effective way to donate goods is to take them to your local shop; we also operate a door-to-door ‘sack’ collection service, and can arrange collection of any heavier items or larger loads you wish to donate.
We are grateful for any donations we receive but we only sell items that are in good condition. Any unsold goods or goods unfit for sale are sent off to be distributed to Third World countries or for recycling.
Gift Aid your donation
You may already know about Gift Aid, and how it lets us claim back the tax you’ve paid on monetary donations to PDSA.
But did you know that when you donate clothes, books or other gifts to PDSA charity shops, we could reclaim tax on them, too? It’s an easy way to raise even more money to help sick and injured animals, and it doesn’t cost you a penny.

How can I volunteer at my local shop?
PDSA retail outlets are staffed by full-time managers supported by trained and dedicated volunteers who thoroughly enjoy the challenge of raising funds for pets in need of vets. You could be part of that vital team. We offer a wide range of volunteer opportunities throughout the UK, use our volunteer vacancy finder to search for positions available in your area

PDSA now also sell some donated items on Ebay.
Where higher value objects are donated to our charity shops, the number of people who see them is limited. Listed on Ebay, these items are made available to the whole online community and therefore have a better chance of selling at a high price and achieving the best support for the charity.
