Feline recovery ward
Can you help us build and equip the feline recovery wards at our new pet hospitals in Birmingham, Plymouth and Cardiff?
Find out how you can get involved
What is the feline recovery ward?
The feline recovery wards are where our cat pet patients rest before and after their operations. Each of the separate recovery kennels is fitted with warm, cosy bedding ensuring the patient's comfort throughout their recovery period. Pet patients are closely monitored by the nurse on kennel duty who will alert the vet if they have any concern.
Separate recovery areas for dogs, cats and smaller pets provides a stress free environment for each species before they are declared fit and able to return home with their owners.
How can I sponsor the feline recovery ward?
The feline recovery wards in each of our pet hospitals cost £50,000 to build and fully equip.
If you are interested in donating the full amount, please get in touch with our pet hospital appeal team on 0800 0199 004 or use our online contact form.

£30 Could pay for a wire cat basket, used time and time again to transfer a cat safely from the cat wards to the operating theatre
£60 could pay for a cage attachment so that a sick cat could be given life saving fluids when it's in the comfort of the ward
A donation of any amount will help us build our much needed new pet hospitals and build hope for all the pets who need us.

Case Study
Lassie
The veterinary team at her local pet hospital provided life-saving treatment to Collie, Lassie, who sustained horrific injuries in a 200-foot fall from a cliff. Four-year-old Lassie needed emergency surgery to fix broken and dislocated bones, which could have prevented her ever walking again. She is now back on all four paws, thanks to PDSA.
