What is the sterilisation room?
The sterilisation room in our pet hospitals is of paramount importance and in use 24 hours a day. All surgical instruments and equipment are thoroughly cleaned, sterilised then stored ready for immediate use.
How can I sponsor the sterilisation room?
The sterilisation rooms in each of our pet hospitals cost £45,000 to build and fully equip.
If you are interested in donating the full amount, please get in touch with our pet hospital appeal team on 0800 0199 004 or use our online contact form

Case Study
Dolly
Ten-year-old blind, diabetic Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Dolly, has a new 'leash' of life thanks to PDSA. Dolly receives regular treatment at her local pet hospital for her diabetes, but was struggling to manage since losing her sight. PDSA vets recommended that plastic cable ties (used as whiskers) were fitted to Dolly's collar to enable the visually impaired pooch 'feel' her way around.
