PDSA celebrates Volunteers’ Week with 5,000 volunteers

Taking place between 1 and 7 June, Volunteers’ Week is the UK’s annual celebration of the important work volunteers do. During the week, numerous events are held to recognise, reward and recruit volunteers, and PDSA is joining in the fun. For PDSA it’s a great opportunity to say a big thank you to all its volunteers, who help save the charity £11.2 million in employment costs every year by donating their time and energy.

PDSA was the first national charity to be awarded the Investing in Volunteers quality standard, and has a dedicated National Volunteering Centre to ensure that volunteering is a valuable experience for both the individual and the charity.
