Mr Michael Radford LLB CBE
Mike Radford became a PDSA Trustee in 2002 and is also a member of PDSA’s Audit Committee; he is a Lecturer in Law at Aberdeen University and has also lectured at the University of East Anglia. Mike is an advisor to many veterinary and animal welfare organisations, including the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. He is a member of the Companion Animal Welfare Council and the RCVS Animal Welfare Science, Ethics and Law Board. Mike is also a Trustee of Dogs Trust, and the Universities Federation for Animal Welfare.
Brigadier Andrew Warde BVetMed MSc MRCVS CBE
Brigadier Warde became a PDSA Trustee in June prior to his retirement as Director, Army Veterinary and Remount Services, in October 2007. He was commissioned into the Royal Veterinary Corp as Lieutenant, after graduating from the Royal Veterinary College in 1973, and served in a variety of posts across Europe, the Far East and Middle East, working principally with dogs. In 1997 he became the first Veterinary Officer to be British Liaison Officer Medical on the Army Staff of the British Embassy in Washington DC, USA, in the rank of Colonel. He is currently President of the Section of Comparative Medicine of the Royal Society of Medicine, a member of the Academic Board of the RSM and a member of the British Veterinary Association.
