Pet Health Video: Checking Rabbit Teeth
PDSA vet, Alice, demonstrates how vets examine a rabbit’s teeth, and tells us how important a correct diet is for keeping a rabbit’s teeth healthy. Unlike human teeth, rabbit teeth are constantly growing, so they need to be fed lots of hay. This is because nibbling on hay all day keeps their teeth worn down. Feeding a handful of fresh vegetables morning and evening is also important, and Alice tells us that regular check-ups with a vet is the best way of detecting problems early.
