Pet Health Video: Using Science

PDSA vet, Elaine, discusses how she uses science and maths in her everyday life as a working vet. She says that because animals can’t speak, vets need to gather evidence from different sources like scientists do, for example by asking the owner questions and by doing diagnostic tests. The tests themselves have been created by using science. To take x-rays a vet needs to think about amps and volts to get the best quality images, and maths is needed to calculate drug doses.
