Pet Protectors Video: Cat Exercise
PDSA vet, James, is using various toys to play with three cats. He says that regular play gives your cat a chance to exercise and can increase the bond between you. The best toys, he says, are those that allow your cat to perform their normal chasing and pouncing behaviour, such as fishing rod-type toys, balls and toy mice. Toys shouldn’t have loose parts and playing with string is dangerous because it can be swallowed. James recommends cleaning toys regularly and using different toys in different weeks so that your cat doesn’t lose interest.
