PDSA PetCheck Programme 2009

The eighth annual PDSA PetCheck UK tour is gearing up to provide pet health care advice and free health checks for dogs to the public.

Please check to see where the PetCheck tour is in:

 July 2009 / August 2009

September 2009 / October 2009

PDSA is working closely with dog wardens and local authorities visiting locations ranging from residential areas to country parks, recreation grounds to leisure centres. PetCheck will also be visiting fun dog shows organised by other animal charities as well as a number of commercial retail stores.

Pet owners are invited to come along to have their pet health care questions answered by an experienced PetCheck veterinary nurse and to find out more about the work of PDSA.

A free health check (dogs only for safety reasons) cover: diet and fitness including body shape awareness; dental care; coat condition and general fitness.

If you’re not sure whether your dog is the right weight and shape, the PetCheck nurse will check him/her over and offer expert advice.

Primary school visits also feature prominently in the PetCheck itinerary to support the programme’s mission to promote better understanding of pet health.

If you are planning an event that would benefit from having a PDSA PetCheck presence, or you are a school or dog warden that would like to organise a special PetCheck day, please contact the Donna French at PDSA either by email or by calling 01952 290999.

For further information please call PDSA freephone 0800 917 2509.  Come along and meet the PDSA PetCheck team!
