A dozen celebrities have willingly allowed themselves to be upstaged . . . by their own cats and dogs!
Animal loving stars including Strictly Come Dancing queen Alesha Dixon, award-winning soap actress Kym Ryder and former Blur musician and writer Alex James have all posed with their pets for the 2009 PDSA Pet Pawtraits calendar.
Priced at just £4.99, the 2009 PDSA Pet Pawtraits calendar can be purchased online, by phoning 0800 917 2509 or from one of PDSA's 179 charity shops.
Photographer Scarlet Page, pictured below with Summer Strallen, Jonathan Ansell, Jenni Falconer and John Partridge at the calendar launch, snapped the star pets with their celebrity owners for the calendar.
Scarlet, daughter of Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page, said: “I have two fantastic moggies – a black cat called Tommy who is 17 and a nine-year-old ginger called Archie – so pets have always been a huge part of my life. I simply cannot imagine life without them. That’s why I took on this project and I am really happy to be part of such a worthwhile and inspiring campaign.”
