Local surgeries, 229 Veterinary Surgery, in the High Street, Blackwood, and Riverside Veterinary Centre in Beaufort, Ebbw Vale, have joined the PDSA PetAid practice service which provides free, PDSA-funded veterinary treatment to sick or injured pets.

Commenting on the PetAid practice service, Jan McLoughlin, PDSA Director of Veterinary Services, said, “We are delighted that the PDSA PetAid service is now available in Blackwood and Ebbw Vale thanks to the support of these local veterinary practices and we urge pet owners to register now to allow time for the registration process and to ensure that we are ready if their pet needs treatment.

“PDSA depends entirely on public support to fund its free veterinary services. Our resources are limited, but the PetAid practice service is a great way of reaching those who need our help, particularly the elderly.”

For registration details, pet owners should contact the PDSA veterinary enquiries free phone on 0800 731 2502.
