Preventive services

Picture of Veterinary Surgeon with DogFollowing a highly successful trial of preventive treatments (vaccinations, neutering, microchipping, flea and worm treatments) at six PDSA PetAid hospitals in 2005, PDSA is rolling out preventive services for an affordable fee at all of our PetAid hospitals and branches nationwide.

The staggered roll-out began in February 2006 and will complete within an 18 month timeframe.

The new charged for preventive treatments will not affect the provision of the charity’s free veterinary service for sick and injured pets. They will run side by side offering a one-stop-shop for pet owners in need.

The preventive treatments form part of our ongoing mission to improve the health and welfare of our pet patients and further promote responsible pet care. The extended service is restricted to eligible PDSA clients.

*PDSA provides preventive treatments to its eligible clients through a wholly-owned trading subsidiary, PDSA PetAid Enterprises Ltd. The subsidiary covenants all its profits to PDSA.
