Payroll Giving - Employee

Supporting PDSA through Payroll Giving is an easy, tax-free way to give regular monthly donations to help to treat sick and injured pets.

How does Payroll Giving work?

You instruct your payroll department to deduct regular donations to your chosen charity from your pay. Your donations are deducted by your payroll department before your tax is calculated, so it really does cost you less to give more.

For example:

  • If you pay tax at the basic rate of 20% and would like to give £5 per month to PDSA, you will only pay £4.00 from your monthly salary.
  • The taxman will add £1.00
  • The total amount received by PDSA is £5, but the donation will only cost you £4.00
  • If you pay tax at 40%, a gift of £5 will only cost you £3

Your monthly donation will be shown on your payslip before tax deductions

Quote from one payroll giver working for Morrison's:

I decided to give to PDSA through my payroll because of my love of animals.
I think that the work PDSA do is valuable and essential for all pets in need
.”

How do I become a Payroll Giver?

Become a Payroll Giver today to help sick and injured animals by filling out our Payroll Giving form and returning it to us by post. If your employer doesn’t offer a Payroll Giving scheme, we have a page to explain how your employer can set one up.

Download and complete our Payroll Giving form and return to the address on the form.

Sign up to Payroll Giving online through our partner, Workplace Giving UK.

As a thank you for your support, we will send you PDSA Pet Times newsletter twice a year in March and September to keep you up to date on news from PDSA as well as giving you some helpful advice on pet health care.
