Sam “Dogney”
Sam was our beautiful black Labrador. He was clever, loving, faithful, fun and generally A* in everything. We loved him from the moment we first saw him. He had a fan club of people who wanted to look after him. He was so well behaved - he could bark, sit, play dead, fetch the remote and so much more on command. He knew he could only go on the sofa by invitation. More than all of that he was just Sam. He was velvety soft, and so very loving. He loved walks, fishing stones, people, children, the sea, camping, food... He could be outside of the front of the house and would not wander off. He didn’t need a lead when we walked. He adored the family, extended family and friends and we adored him.
We had to let go of Sam when he had a stroke, but he was 13 by then. Even after his stroke, he kept wagging his tail, and never complained. We miss you Sammy, you were one of a kind. I thank God that Sam was given to us for those 13 years.
