In memory of

Joyce Gray

1933 - 2020

Joyce Gray - an animal lover for life.

Anyone who knew our mum, is well aware of how important animals, and mother nature in general, were to her. From when we were small children, whether it was being taught to turn over rocks on the beach looking for crabs, or staring out of car, bus or train windows, looking for deer or rabbits, mum was always the driving force behind that. There was never a time in our house, when we didn't live with a menagerie of creatures, which generally would include rabbits, mice, a tank of fish, various injured animals dropped off by neighbours, budgies, a parrot, canaries, cats and dogs. We even had a newt at one point.

Of course, mum one was one of four siblings (David, Dorothy and Muriel) and they were all the same. One of the greatest legacies mum has passed down to all her four children, is the same love of animals and mother nature. We're still turning over rocks to this day!

It seemed wholly appropriate to have this tribute to mum via the PDSA, a service that we as a family used in our younger days. We thank you for your kind and generous donation to such a very worthy cause, that would have been very dear to mum's heart.

Hilda, Edith, David and Dorothy.
