Get your pet weighed and their body condition scored for FREE
Sadly, pet obesity can lead to long-term health problems that threaten the health and wellbeing of UK pets. To help pets live their happiest, healthiest lives, PDSA’s Big Weigh In, in partnership with Royal Canin, is back for 2024.
Throughout February and March 2024, dog and cat owners nationwide can book a FREE Big Weigh In appointment at a local participating vet practice to have their pet weighed and body condition scored (a tool developed by vets to evaluate body fat).
How to book your FREE Big Weigh In appointment
- Find your nearest participating vet practice by clicking here.
- Book your free Big Weigh In appointment in February or March 2024 by contacting the vet practice directly.
- Get your pet weighed and their body condition scored to find out if your cat and/or dog is a healthy weight.
- Duration of PDSA’s Big Weigh In campaign, in partnership with Royal Canin: 1 February 2024 until 31 March 2024.
- An appropriately trained member of staff will weigh and body condition score (BCS) pets who are taken to participating vet practices during the campaign period without charge.
- Participating practices will record the pet's name, weight, and BCS on a card provided by Royal Canin and retained by the pet owner.
- Members of the public will be able to contact the veterinary practice to arrange a suitable time to 'drop in' to have their pet weighed, but this will not be a formal consultation appointment.
- Any follow-up appointments, consultations, advice, and subsequent charges are at the discretion of the individual practice and should be discussed and agreed with the pet owner.
- Big Weigh In appointments cannot be made at any PDSA Pet Hospital, only at participating vet practices listed.
