Atopic dermatitis (atopy) is a skin problem caused by an allergy to something in the environment (such as pollen, moulds, grass or dust mite).
Surprisingly, it’s not always easy to tell if your cat is going blind. There are many possible causes – some cause sudden blindness, some cause gradual blindness, some are treatable, some are not.
Has your cat been shaking his/her head more than usual? Head shaking shouldn’t be ignored because it can indicate many different problems, usually related to the ears.
Louse infestations in cats and dogs are quite rare. They are most common in vulnerable pets (young, old or unwell) and pets kept in dirty, overcrowded conditions.
Has your cat been blinking excessively, holding an eye shut, or showing other signs of eye pain? There are many conditions that can cause painful eye(s), some more serious than others.
