With your help, PDSA vets can be there for pets in need
Pets give us so much unconditional love and friendship. They bring light to dark moments, offer warmth and companionship when we need it most, and they become our best friend without us ever asking.
We use the term pets, but actually, they’re so much more. They weave their way into our hearts and we would do anything in the world for them.
But when the unexpected happens and expensive veterinary treatment is urgently needed, no pet should suffer due to their owner’s circumstances. And that’s why PDSA is here.
Today alone, our vets will conduct thousands of emergency operations, consultations and check-ups for pets like Patch and Mittens whose owners struggle in tough times.
With two out of three treatments paid for with gifts in Wills – your love for pets is what keeps us going. Without generations of generous people who left us a gift in their Will to make sure that their love lived on, we simply couldn’t treat as many pets as we do today.
Leaving a gift in your Will, regardless of how big or how small, is an incredible way to celebrate your love of pets and enable us to be here for poorly pets in the future.
Geoffrey is a PDSA gifts in Wills supporter and lifelong pet lover
Geoffrey is a huge animal lover, a big PDSA supporter and a passionate advocate for gifts in Will. Geoffrey decided to leave a gift in his Will after his previous dog, Patch, received a life-saving operation at one of our Pet Hospitals.
Wanting to ensure that our work can carry on long into the future, Geoffrey said: “It is absolutely vital that PDSA is supported in any possible way that we can. It is the simplest thing in the world to leave a gift in your Will. It’s not complicated, and it’s even free of charge. I hope everyone will think about leaving a gift in their Will to PDSA.”

Helen decided to leave a gift in her Will after experiencing first-hand the care PDSA provides in a crisis. Last year, when her one-year-old cat Mittens came home with her back left leg completely limp, Helen and her family turned to PDSA.
Grateful for the brilliant care Mittens received, Helen said: “Knowing that you can come along to PDSA and they’ll see your pet is a huge relief. Anybody who is on a low income or no income at all can get their pets looked after and treated without having to worry about a huge financial bill at the end of it. I’ve donated and I’ve left some money in my Will so they can continue to support the people who need their help. Without PDSA, Mittens wouldn’t be where she is today.”
