Our Nottingham PDSA Pet Wellbeing Centre opens later this year
Our original Pet Hospital on Dunkirk Road, the oldest PDSA Pet Hospital in the country, is in desperate need of replacement to meet the ever-increasing demand for our services. We have been helping Nottingham pets in need since 1927 but our existing building is struggling to cope, and a new facility would enable us to help so many more.
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, our new Nottingham Pet Wellbeing Centre, The Marian and Christina Ionescu Hospital will open its doors later this year enabling us to treat more poorly pets who desperately need our help.

Our new Nottingham PDSA Pet Wellbeing Centre,
The Marian and Christina Ionescu Hospital
In the spring of 2021, we acquired a plot of land located in Basford, northwest Nottingham, for our new facility and construction work began in the summer of 2021. Today the hard work continues, as we get ready to welcome pets and their owners to our larger and more advanced Pet Hospital on Radford Road later this year.
Does your pet currently receive treatment at Nottingham?
The current hospital on Dunkirk Road will remain open until the new facility opens later this year. From there, the existing hospital on Dunkirk Road will close permanently and there will be no PDSA staff at this site. Information on the official opening date for the new facility on Radford Road will be announced soon.
You will automatically be registered as a client at our new hospital, so you don’t need to do anything.
