Odin's story
At just eight weeks old, Odin caught cat flu. In some cases, the virus causes flu-like symptoms in cats, but can quickly develop into a life-threatening infection. Sadly, poor little Odin developed this infection.
Odin’s symptoms started with a runny nose, but he quickly deteriorated. His tiny body was unable to fight the infection off and without having been vaccinated it quickly developed into something more severe.
His eyes became ulcerated, causing him an unthinkable amount of pain for such a small kitten. It was a race against time to save his life.
One of his eyes had gotten so bad it had ruptured, leaving Odin in need of an intricate operation to have it removed and emergency care to help him fight off the other effects of the infection.
If Odin survives, he’ll need ongoing care and regular check-ups throughout his recovery. There are so many more pets like Odin who need your help to get better. Please help pets in need by making a monthly donation to PDSA.
