In memory of

Archer Weston

Although Archer left us in December 2016 it's only now that I have sent a small donation in his memory to PDSA - an over-sight on my part. After he died I was involved with the Pet Blood Bank and raised several hundreds of pounds in his name - this was as a thank you for the life saving and life extending blood transfusion he had in 2013 when he was diagnosed with Aplastic Anaemia and given weeks to live. Thanks to our Vet and the Pet Blood Bank we kept this wonderfully brave boy happy and surprisingly well for another 3 years. After his death he appeared in several Pet Blood Bank Newsletters and these can still be found on their site. He was also featured in an article in the Beagle Welfare magazine. Archer was our third Beagle - he was 5 when we rescued him and he had all the traits one reads about in a Beagle - more than that though, he became one of the most courageous dogs I've ever known. He was loyal and faithful to a degree beyond anything I can measure. He loved his life and lived it to the full - only truly happy when he was with us - his proud, loving and heartbroken owners. His memory lives on with us every single day and we know we'll miss him to the end of our days.
