I am heartbroken to learn of the untimely death of this beautiful boy, just days before his sixth birthday. I helped bring him into the world when his lovely mum Bella, my friend's family pet, fell accidentally pregnant. I was with Bella when Simba and his seven siblings were born and I hand-picked David as his ideal "dog dad" because he travelled all the way from his home in Scotland twice to meet his boy and then take him back home a few weeks later. I vetted all the potential owners because I wanted all the puppies to have lovely homes and never be used for breeding. Simba really struck gold with David. Living in bonny Scotland, they went for many rural walks every day and became well-known and loved in the local community. Simba was a gentle giant who loved everyone he met and dispelled the myth that large breeds were somehow scary or aggressive. He even had a parrot pal whom he saw all the time and was fascinated by the talking bird! He absolutely lived his best life with David, who has always kept in touch and shared photos and memories of Simba with me for the past six years, becoming a good friend. They were inseparable and I send my deepest condolences to David, who will miss his big pal immeasurably. They were a duo who were meant to be together. Thinking of you at this sad time and remembering all the joy that Simba brought to everyone who knew him.
