Percy is lying in the road, unable to move. He has been hit by a speeding van which has left his body broken. He needs emergency care. Percy's story

Percy was out playing in the garden when the curious pooch managed to find a way out into the wider world. Unable to fight his curiosity, Percy escaped the safety of the garden and soon found himself out on a busy road.

Sadly, Percy was hit by a speeding van who failed to stop and left him crumpled and broken. His owner’s brother found him and rushed him to their nearest PDSA Pet Hospital for the emergency treatment he needed.

The prognosis wasn’t good and Percy’s owner was distraught. Vets warned that he may not survive the ordeal, but worked for hours to try and save the beloved pet’s life.

His back leg was so severely damaged it would need amputating. The race was on to treat Percy’s injuries as he lay on the operating table, fighting for his life.

If Percy makes it, he, like so many other emergencies we see every day, will need round-the-clock intensive care. Pets like Percy need your help – could you save a life by giving a monthly gift to poorly pets?
