PDSA Pet Care Renewal

If you are a PDSA Pet Care practice client looking to renew your membership, please read all information below before completing your application.

Please note: You may only renew PDSA Pet Care if you are already signed up to the scheme at a participating private practice. You will have received a renewal reminder from us with details of how to re-register with your supporting Pet Care Practice

If you've previously registered at one of our PDSA Pet Hospitals, or to register for the first time, please visit our eligibility checker instead.

How to renew

To renew your PDSA Pet Care account, you will need:

  • Your contact information
  • Your pet's details
  • Proof of benefits
  • A debit card for payment

Pet details

Only ONE pet (cat or dog) can be registered under the Pet Care scheme.

You will need to provide their name, species, breed, colour, gender and age.

Proof of benefits

You should qualify for PDSA Pet Care if you are on any of the following benefits:

  • Housing benefit
  • Council tax benefit
  • Universal Credit with housing element

You will need to provide a picture or scan of your latest benefit document(s) as proof of benefits.

To upload, you can take a photo of your benefit document or have a file/image ready to upload at the next stage.

PDSA will delete your documents once your registration is complete.

Important details

Your benefit documents MUST clearly show:

  • Name and address - the details on your benefit document(s) must match your application details
  • Date of document issue - must be within the last 12 months
  • Benefit amount (may be referred to as reduction, support, award or exemption)

If the documents you upload do not clearly show all of these details, there will be a delay in processing your renewal.

Payment

Your payment will be taken by debit card at the time of processing your application.

You can choose to pay monthly (one initial payment of £9, then ten monthly payments of £4.50) or annually (one payment of £54).

What happens next

We aim to process all applications within 3 working days.

  • Your registration is not active until your application has been approved
  • If we can't confirm your eligibility, we will contact you via email
