  • Ear infections in dogs

Ear infections in dogs can be caused by bacteria or yeast (or both). There is usually an underlying cause for an ear infection, such as ear mites or a skin allergy.

  • Diarrhoea in cats

There are many conditions that cause diarrhoea in cats, ranging from minor to serious. Mild cases of diarrhoea usually pass within 24 hours.

  • Dental problems in rabbits

Your rabbit’s teeth are constantly growing. This is why they need to chew on so much grass and hay as it grinds their teeth down and stops them getting too long.

  • Rabies in dogs

Rabies is a deadly virus that can spread between animals and people

  • Food allergies in dogs

Just like people, dogs can be allergic to something in their food. This often causes skin and/or tummy problems.

  • Severe allergic reactions in dogs

Dogs can have allergic reactions just like people. Common triggers include insect stings, plants and medications (including vaccinations).

  • Idiopathic Epilepsy in Dogs

Idiopathic epilepsy is the most common cause of repeated seizures in dogs. It’s important to have your dog checked by your vet if they have a seizure, even if they have recovered well.

  • High temperature (fever) in cats

If your cat has a high temperature (fever), it usually means something is wrong.

  • First aid for pets struggling to breathe

Struggling to breathe is a life-threatening emergency. Take your pet to your nearest vets if they are struggling to breathe, call them on the way to let them know you are coming.

  • Head tilt in a rabbit

A problem inside the ear or brain is the most common cause of a head tilt in a rabbit. This is because head position is controlled by the balance (vestibular) centre, which sits inside the ear/brain.
