Help for executors
We truly value the gifts left to us by our supporters. By leaving a gift to PDSA in their Will, your friend or loved one has left a positive mark on the world for the future of animal welfare.
We are here to help
It is quite normal that you may have a number of questions or that you may need some advice in your role as an executor. We are here to help and will offer guidance whenever we can. To speak to a member of our team simply click on this link and fill in the contact form and we will phone you back a soon as we can.
The last thing we want to do is to cause any distress or upset to you, but as a charity we are governed by the Charity Commission and when a supporter is kind enough to leave us a gift in their Will we are required to ask you as executor for a number of items of information.
So when you get in touch we would be very grateful if you would inform us of the following details of the person who has passed away:
- Full name of our kind benefactor
- Their last known address and any other recent addresses
- The date of their Will
- The date of their death
- We would also be very grateful if you could send us a copy of the Will.
When we have been left a share in the estate we also need to request a list of our late benefactor’s assets and liabilities, as at the date of death (and their values) there may be tax implications that need to be considered.
When you are in a position to make a payment from the estate, it would be helpful if you could do this by bank transfer to our account:
Lloyds TSB Bank
Sort code: 30-18-55
If you prefer to pay by cheque please make it payable to PDSA and send it to:
PDSA Legacy Department
Please include our benefactor’s name and address as well as your own.
