Harry continues to make good progress

Harry is a lovely dog and he’s absolutely brilliant with the kids. It was actually my daughter Alana that gave him the name ‘Harry’ as she was obsessed with Harry Styles from the band ‘One Direction’ – and it just stuck!

His favourite place is by far the bedroom, he can be very lazy! Luckily, he loves going for a walk, so it’s easy to get him out. When I take him for a walk in the morning, as soon as we get home he’ll go and put himself back to bed for a rest. Once he’s had a little sleep, he’s ready to go again.

One of the side effects of the steroid medication that he’s on is that it makes him extra hungry, so he’s obsessed with food. Although he will always need to have his tablets, there is a diet that can help. I’m speaking to the vets and nurses at PDSA about what foods would be good for Harry to eat and getting advice on how to look after his weight. We go back to the Pet Hospital every few months for a check-up and to see how he’s getting on.

Until next time,

Karla and Harry
