Emergency appeal: our vets are there in a crisis

Every day, our Vets and Vet Nurses are working tirelessly to save lives like Chi's. But we're a charity and we rely on donations to keep our services going and prevent pets like Chi from suffering.

Right now, we’re facing an unprecedented situation. The coronavirus pandemic means our Pet Hospitals are only able to treat emergency cases and our charity shops have had to close their doors, limiting our ability to raise vital funds. But accidents and illness don't stop - our services are in huge demand and we urgently need extra supplies to care for poorly pets.

Every donation helps to perform life-saving care for a pet desperately in need. Please help us be there for more pets in need.

How your donations saved Chi

When tiny Chi went missing, her owner was devastated after searching high and low and still couldn’t find her. When a neighbour approached to say they’d found Chi, her owner wasn’t prepared for what came next.

Poor Chi had climbed under the bonnet of a neighbour’s car and then got stuck, unwittingly going on a 40 mile journey. Thankfully the neighbour heard her and found her lodged in the engine.

Chi was rushed to a PDSA Pet Hospital where the full extent of her injuries were revealed – she had severer burns which needed emergency care and a long operation. Thankfully, our vets were able to save Chi and she soon returned home to her family to recover.

Chi’s owner has given all they can afford towards her treatment, but there is still a shortfall and with increasing pressure on our services, we need urgent help from people like you. We don’t think any pet should go without veterinary treatment and appreciate any help you can give. Please help us by donating today.

Thank you

Our vets were able to save Chi's life, thanks to the support of people like you. With your help we can be there for more pets in their hour of need.
