Emergency appeal: our vets are there in a crisis

Every day, our Vets and Vet Nurses are working tirelessly to save lives like Loopie's. But we're a charity and we rely on donations to keep our services going and prevent pets like Loopie from suffering.

Right now, we’re facing an unprecedented situation. The coronavirus pandemic means our Pet Hospitals are only able to treat emergency cases and our charity shops have had to close their doors, limiting our ability to raise vital funds. But accidents and illness don't stop - our services are in huge demand and we urgently need extra supplies to care for poorly pets.

Every donation helps to perform life-saving care for a pet desperately in need. Please help us be there for more pets in need.

How your donations saved Loopie

Loopie's owner was devastated to find Loopie covered in blood, terrified and in pain. He'd somehow managed to crawl home after clearly being hit by a car.

Loopie's owner rushed him to his local PDSA Pet Hospital. Poor Loopie had suffered a severe injury to his head resulting in a broken jaw and the skin had been torn from his face. The swelling was so bad, it had changed the shape of his head. Our vets immediately gave Loopie pain killers to stabilise him, and worked tirelessly trying to mend his jaw and stitch his poor face back together.

Even with all the expertise and experience in the hospital, it was touch and go. Loopie relied on round-the-clock care from PDSA nurses and underwent several surgeries. Thankfully, after 12 days Loopie started to show signs of recovery and was able to go home.

Loopie’s owner has given all that they can afford, but with more and more pressure on our services we desperately need help from people like you. We don't think any pet should go without vet treatment and appreciate any help you can give. Please consider donating today. Thank you.

Thank you

Our vets were able to save Loopie's life, thanks to the support of people like you. With your help we can be there for more pets in their hour of need.
