What is PDSA Pet Survivor?
PDSA’s annual Pet Survivor Awards feature pets who’ve beaten all the odds thanks to the skill of vet teams, the devotion of their owners and their own incredible survival spirit.
Every year we invite owners and vets from across the UK to nominate pets who have survived a life-threatening illness or injury. We want to hear stories that encapsulate just how important our pets are to us - stories that demonstrate:
- Pet’s incredible fighting spirit and will to survive
- The love and dedication of their owners
- Devoted and highly skilled vets and nurses battling to give our pets the best possible chance of survival.
Our Pet Survivor Awards are open to any pet treated in the UK by a vet for a life-threatening illness or injury between 1 August 2018 and 31 August 2019. The closing date for entries is midnight on Sunday 8 September 2019.
A panel of judges will then shortlist a small group of miracle pets to take part in a public vote, with the winner announced at the end of the year. The winner will be declared PDSA Pet Survivor 2019 and will also win a luxury pet hamper.
