Re-opening shops
We are delighted to confirm that in line with government guidelines all PDSA shops are now open. We can't wait to see you again!
Shop safety
The safety of our teams and customers remains our top priority, so have introduced a series of new safety procedures in our shops. These includes:
- Screens at the tills
- Quarantining donated goods for 48 hours
- Limiting customer numbers
- Encouraging customers to wear face coverings
- Social distancing
- Hand sanitisation
Hospital, Office and Fundraising Volunteers
Sadly we are still unable to re-start volunteering in our hospitals, offices or community and fundraising teams.
If you would like to volunteer in a PDSA shop while you wait to return to your usual role we would love to welcome you. Please email volunteers@pdsa.org.uk if you’d like to join a shop team.
Volunteer Hub
All PDSA volunteers have free access to our Volunteer Hub, which is full of useful training courses and development materials, plus information to support your wellbeing.
In the Volunteer Hub main menu you will find instructions and a short video to explain how to login and create an account. You must be a registered volunteer to access the site and will need your enrolment key.
If you are a PDSA volunteer but haven't received an enrolment key via email or letter please email volunteerhub@pdsa.org.uk
Volunteer Facebook group
To help you keep in touch with fellow volunteers we have launched a Volunteer Facebook group. This is a closed group for PDSA volunteers only so you will be asked to answer membership questions when you request to join.
You can also following our main Facebook page for the latest PDSA news, or read some of the heart-warming stories that you make possible by donating your time to us.
Hospitals
Our Pet Hospitals are currently operating a limited service. We have therefore had to suspend all volunteering at our hospitals until further notice. If you are an existing volunteer, please join the PDSA Volunteers Facebook group to find out more and get regular updates.
Shops
As our shops reopen we have volunteering opportunities across the country. You can find out more about our charity shops and any volunteering opportunities on our charity shops page.
Offices
For the safety of all of our amazing volunteers and staff members, our teams are currently working from home wherever possible. We have therefore had to suspend all volunteering in our offices until further notice. If you are an existing volunteer, please join the PDSA volunteers Facebook group to find out more and get regular updates.
