    We've always so much going on at PDSA, from fundraising and volunteering in our local shops, to our awards celebrating remarkable animals and our well-known Pet Fit Club. Here's a snapshot of what we do as part of our work to help pets in need.

  • Bloat (swollen belly) in dogs

    Bloat (a swollen belly) is a medical emergency that is often caused by life threatening condition called a GDV. Call your vet immediately if your dog has developed bloat, especially if they are also trying to be sick.

  • Fly strike in rabbits

    Fly strike happens when a fly lays its eggs on a rabbit’s fur which hatch into maggots and burrow under the skin to feed on flesh.

  • Knit a thank you buddy

    Knit a buddy and help raise funds for poorly pets Meet our new Dog, Cat and Rabbit Buddies. Designed and stitched by one of our multi-talented Vet Nurses, they are here to help us save pets in need. For a suggested donation of £5, knitting enthusiasts and novices can download a simple, step by step guide to creating their own PDSA Dog, Cat and Rabbit Buddies – complete with uniform and PPE…
