Qualified Vets and Nurses
Are you a MRCVS qualified vet or nurse? Could you donate some time to help in our busy Pet Hospitals? If you are confident in practice and would like to volunteer your expertise we would love to hear from you. You will be helping with the case load and a variety of clinical tasks, so you’ll need to hit the ground running.
Depending on experience our volunteer vets and nurses help the clinical team with preventive procedures and day to day operations and consults. You’ll also be actively involved in promoting pet wellbeing and awareness of the five animal welfare needs. Please use our online MRCVS Application form to apply.
Seeing Practice and EMS placements
If you are studying for a veterinary qualification and are you looking for a Seeing Practice or EMS placement, find out more about how you can apply for a placement with us. Unfortunately we can only offer work experience placements in our hospitals to those studying on a veterinary course.
Other volunteering roles in our hospitals
If you are not a qualified vet or nurse, or not studying to become one, you can still volunteer to help. We occasionally have opportunities to volunteer in our Pet Hospitals and you can check to see if we have vacancies in your area. Non-clinical vacancies range from assisting our nursing staff, helping on reception or keeping the grounds tidy. We don’t have roles available all the time, so if your preferred role doesn’t appear on our vacancy board, please come back and check at a later date, or maybe consider helping us in a different way.
Other volunteering roles with PDSA
There are lots of other ways you can volunteer your time with us. Our volunteers in our shops sell new and pre-loved items to help raise funds and raise awareness of our cause. Volunteers in our offices support us by donating their time and expert skills whilst our fundraising groups run events in all weathers to raise much needed funds. You can find out more, browse our latest vacancies and apply online.
